Workplace Campaigns

United Way's annual community campaign in the workplace is the most effective way to organize your company around helping to improve the community you work and live in. United Way can help you plan and implement a campaign as we do in hundreds of companies in Santa Barbara County.

Many companies and businesses in northern Santa Barbara County run United Way workplace campaigns each year – asking their employees to contribute to the community through United Way.

Workplace campaigns raise the largest percentage, each year, of United Way’s annual campaign. Over 70% of all contributions given to United Way are donated through Workplace Campaigns, many combined with a Corporate Gift. Your company will make a tremendous impact in our community by participating.

Working men and women throughout the north County help change the lives of so many in need, guaranteeing a better quality of life for all of us. From the stockroom to the boardroom, employees value the opportunity to help others through workplace giving.

Campaigns not only connect companies to the community, they encourage teamwork, creativity and community-engagement within the workforce.

We’ll make it easy to start a campaign at your company.   It is as easy as picking up the phone and calling (805) 922-0329 or emailing raynette@uwcentralcoast.org

Running a United Way "Campaign" is a traditional way thousands of companies partner with us to support their communities. Providing employees with meaningful opportunities to give back to the community at the level they feel comfortable is a benefit for any corporate culture. A well-developed partnership with United Way provides employees with these and many other opportunities:

  • Community Involvement -- opportunities to give back and make a difference
  • Convenience and affordability in giving options such as payroll deduction and electronic pledging
  • United Way's knowledge of the community ensures contributions are channeled to where the needs are greatest
  • Strategic giving -- opportunities for direct contributions by area of interest such as hunger and homelessness or workforce development
  • Professional and service-oriented volunteer roles with community agencies
  • Publications, eUpdates and educational forums to stay informed of pressing social issues
  • Special membership benefits for donors who give $500 and more annually
